Looking Back at State Convention 2023...

We are so excited to be launching our Convention registration and awards program.  We want to share all of this information with you as soon as possible so you can begin making plans to join us in February!

Awards Program
The Awards Program is up and running!  Everything was updated last week, and those of you that came to the district conference got QR codes that will link you directly to the awards info page.  If you don't already have the QR code, here is a direct link to the page: AWARDS (georgiastuco.com)  Awards are due on FEBRUARY 3RD, so don't delay!

Convention Registration
GASC State Convention will be February 23rd-25th.  Regular Convention arrival will be between 2-4pm on Thursday the 23rd.  We will offer a pre-conference for those arriving before 2pm.  Convention will close at 10am on Saturday the 25th.
  • Costs:
    • Pre-conference: $15 per delegate (student & adult) and will include lunch.  Please do not arrive before 1pm if you are not registered for pre-conference.
    • Delegate Registration: $150 per delegate (student & adult)--includes t-shirt and all meals during convention
    • Student Lodging: $200 per ROOM  You can put 4 students in a room, so this cost could be as low as $50 per student.
    • Adult Lodging: Adult rooms are 2 adults per room and are FREE!  If you prefer a PRIVATE ROOM, the cost will be $200.
*Cabins hold 22 total people.  There are 5 rooms that sleep 4 students and 1 room that sleeps 2 adults.  Each room has its own en suite bathroom.*

Convention Registration will have 2 phases.  The first phase is simply reserving your delegate spots and lodging.  This process is now open and will be open until January 20th.

  • Phase 1: School Registration: https://georgiastuco.wufoo.com/forms/r17l88l00p2vfb4/
    • Provide your school name, advisor, email address for lead advisor
    • Provide total number of delegates (Student & Advisor)
    • Provide total number of rooms needed by gender
    • Share your rooming preference (cabins by gender, cabins by school, no preference)
    • DEADLINE: JANUARY 20, 2023
    • After this date, you will be charged for your delegate total and room reservations per this submission.
 
  • Phase 2: Delegate Registration
    • On January 23rd, the lead advisor (indicated on the school registration form) will receive a link to a google form for all delegates to complete. You will have from January 23rd-February 3rd to complete this process.
    • After February 3rd, you may substitute delegates, but they will receive the nametag, t-shirt size, and food selection of the person they replace.  Please do not expect accommodations for changes after February 3rd.

The 2022 Gasc Convention was an amazing experience getting to see each other again! We had over delegates and advisors. These student explored actions of a leader by dreaming, daring, believing and doing.

The 2020 GASC Convention was amazing! We had over 650 delegates and 70 advisors attend from February 21st - 23rd. These students, advisors, and administrators networked with each other and truly Explored Their Inner Leader. We can't wait how you use what you learned at Convention 2020 to better your school!
