Looking Back at GASC Summit 2018!

LEADERSHIP SUMMIT 2018
On Monday November 5, members of GASC from all across the state of Georgia gathered at our State Capitol for the annual Leadership Summit. Thank you to all delegates who made the trip to learn why Leadership Never Goes Extinct with us. It was one successful Summit with 430 total delegates, 353 students, 77 advisors, and 117 elementary and middle school students.
A'RIC JACKSON
Delegates loved hearing from keynote speaker A'ric Jackson. He reminded attendees to do you boo, give 110%, and never be scared when pursuing your dreams. Thank you A'ric for teaching Summit delegates how to make a difference!
WORKSHOPS
Summit 2018 had many fantastic workshops hosted by some amazing presenters. Workshop presenters, Luke Morgan and Zach Quick from Newnan High School, taught delegates about the power of teamwork and individual roles to accomplish your goals.
RAK, PAK, SAK SERVICE
With a change of venue, Summit delegates participated in the Random Acts of Kindness, Patriotic Acts of Kindness, and Specific Acts of Kindness Service Projects. Here, delegates wrote short positive messages to take back to their schools, letters to soldiers overseas, and put together bags for Bert's Big Adventure Godparents.

LOOKING BACK AT GASC LEADERSHIP SUMMIT 2017...

This year, 444 delegates from approximately 40 schools attended the 7th annual GASC Leadership Summit at the Georgia Capitol building on November 6th, 2017. Seated within the historic walls of the house chamber itself, delegates heard from influential leaders across Georgia. Governor Nathan Deal made an appearance, as well as Senator Tillery and Representative Barr: all people with great influence over the lives of Georgians each day. Throughout the event, delegates attended workshops that developed their leadership abilities and coincided with our theme, "Start Small, Dream BIG!", as well as heard from key note speakers such as Kristin from the Bert Show and Kevin Scott. Finally. every delegate participated in our community service project, the Bert Show's Big Thank You, a project that sends letters to our soldiers overseas during the holidays. Overall, the day truly was a once in a lifetime experience, and we can't wait to see you all back again at convention in 2018!
