Candy Cane Grams School: GSMST Description:Orders are taken for Candy Cane Grams, and Student Council delivers candy canes to recipients with an optional message from the sender. This event can serve as a fundraiser for Student Council, or the revenue can be donated to a local club or nearby organization, like Relay for Life. This is a great way to boost spirits around the school at a stressful time like finals, and the peppermint serves as a brain booster! Color Run School: Lanier County High School Description:The Color Run is a fun and exciting way to get your school and community into the fundraising spirit. Not only does this amazing fundraising idea include fellow community members, but it also brings money in from all aspects of the county. In this event, each runner would be supplied with a white t-shirt (with sponsors name printed on the back) and a goody bag filled with supplies provided by your sponsors. We also did the fundraiser in conjunction with our local Family Connections to help raise funds for them as well.
Mr. North Gwinnett School: North Gwinnett High School Description:Every school has male students who have a terrific sense of humor and a unique “talent.” Our student council hosted an event, called Mr. North Gwinnett, which is a pageant for males, which we refer to as a mangeant. Students paid five dollars, to watch the comical boys model in order to support our Relay for Life team. About fifteen boys of all grade levels volunteered to model in the first round, and each contestant wore their humorous and original costume. After round one, the boys had to perform their best talent. Of course, their talents were comical and truly not a talent, but this event alone raised $1,000.
