This year we hope to bring both students and advisors a set of speakers that connects not only to the story of Princess and the Frog, but also provides a new perspective which you can take back to your own councils.

Joel Hilchey
Author and Entertainer

Joel is an ideas guy. His gift seems to stem from a strange combination of observation, ​insight, and blatant disregard for conventional thinking. He's also a juggler (literally and figuratively). In addition to leading the Beanstalk Creative team as Executive Producer & CEO, he maintains a busy schedule as a keynote speaker, creating unforgettable spectacles on stage. Joel has authored 3 books, (2 of them with Brandon Love), and he taught engineering for over a decade at McMaster University, where he was named one of the Top 150+ Alumni. ​

Sabrina Thompson
Director and Producer

She is the co-founder of WEEN (Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network), a NYC-based women’s non-profit, a former Brooklyn high school teacher and producer for Court Television Network and several Columbia TriStar TV syndicated talk shows. Thompson was also a runner-up of the Emmy award-winning series, SURVIVOR (One World) on CBS. Sabrina currently spends her time developing scripted and unscripted projects, running her businesses and mentoring youth to change the world one creative project at a time.

GASC Convention is held at the beautiful Rock Eagle 4-H center in Eatonton, Georgia.
​With access to a large amount of space and lodging we are able to host over 700 students and advisors from across the state.
