DISTRICT RALLY

The District 5 Rally was held on October 27 at Houston County High School. Attendees were able "Explore their Inner Leader" by hearing from keynote speaker, Shaw Blackmon (a Representative in the Georgia House of Representatives), participating in team building games, and attending workshops. Delegates also contributed to our State Service Project by putting together coloring/autograph books for Bert's Kids' trip to Disney and goodie bags for the Fairy Godparents. Thank you to District 5 Representatives Maddie Key and Alyssa Lee for hosting a successful District Rally!

Love Lee
As a senior at Houston County High School, I have a love for all things student council, running, reading, traveling, and hanging out with my friends! I can't wait to see where the last year of student council takes me and the opportunities that lie ahead!

Maddie Key
​I'm Maddie Key and I am a senior this year at Houston County High School. I enjoy traveling, reading, and spending time with my friends/family. I am very excited for the year ahead and honored to be your district 5 representative!

Looking Back at District Rally 2017

District 5 Rally was held on October 21st from 11am-3pm at Houston County High School! We had 40+ student council members attend. Overall, the rally was a great success from the keynote speaker and workshops to the state service project! We would like to thank Mike Giles, our keynote speaker, for inspiring us to always lead others in the right direction. After listening to Mr. Giles, our attendees participated in workshops varying from public speaking and teamwork building to random acts of kindness and community service! Finally, all the participants regrouped to end the rally with our state service project! This year we decided to create autograph books to donate to Bert’s Big Adventure, which turned out phenomenal! We would like to thank all of our attendees for making the pathway to leadership an incredible experience!
